Gift Ideas for People Visiting London tourismus

If you know somebody coming to London in the next year and you need some gift ideas for them, I have some good ones for you. If you're going to London and everyone is asking you what you want for Christmas, you can send them this video. Before we get started, don't forget to subscribe to this channel for more London and more travel tips every Thursday. You can't really come to London and not try at least one afternoon tea.

There are lots of places where you can buy afternoon tea where it's not just a booking, where you can actually pay for it for them. You can find some discounted deals on sites like lastminute.com or virgin experience days and there are a couple of spots around London that you can buy a voucher for the one that likes really fancy ones. For example; the Red’s London has a world famous afternoon tea and you can buy them a voucher. Every day I'm going to talk to you in this video by the way, we'll have links down the description so you can have a look at maybe actually buy one of the gifts.

Again you can buy some offers and packages on virgin experience days or last minute.com or there's a website called ''Truly'' that I'll link up to you that I've used a couple of times, that you can actually get really nice Michelin star restaurant deals.

Or if you have a restaurant in mind you think they want to go to, you can get in touch with the restaurant and see if they can get you a gift voucher. And finally if you go to opentables.com, they also have gift vouchers that you can use at the selection of the restaurants, so that way they can choose for themselves where they want to eat. Very smaller maybe stocking surfer gifts; try a travel size umbrella. It's pretty smart to have an umbrella with you when you're walking around London in most of the year.

Walking around and exploring all day with a big whole umbrella is kind of annoying, so a travel sized one will be very welcome. I'll have links to a couple of good ones down in the description box. If you're getting a gift for somebody who wants to do a lot of sight seeing while they're here, then the London pass could be a really great gift for them.

If you don't know what that is; the London pass essentially is a pass that gets the recipient free entry to a bunch of attractions all around London. So if they are really into the super tour see stuffs, then this could be actually be a really good gift for them. If you're not sure about the London pass, I have a video that breaks down the pros and cons of if; who it's great for and who it's not great for.

If you click the card popping up right here, watch that next to see if it's a good fit. Something similar is getting them a ticket for hop on hop off bus tour. It's a little bit less expensive, but it can still be a really good experience for them especially if they are the kind of tourist that wants to see everything, maybe from the outside, but not necessarily go in, they can just sit on the bus and ride pass it.

I also have a video explaining the positives and negatives of hop on hop off bus tours plus my recommendation for a company here in a video with the card popping up right here. Depending on when your gift recipient will be visiting London, it might be a really nice idea to get them a classic English trench coat. I likely see lots of people walking around the city with them on especially women, they might even run into me and I'll have mine on too.

They are most common with women, but lots of guys wear a different variation of trench coats as well, so I’ll leave a bunch of links down here in the description box to both versions that men and women will love to get as a gift, but also that will fit in really well here in London. If your gift recipient loves to try new foods when they go traveling, get them a gift voucher for the eating London food tour. This is a tour that I did a couple of years ago and I highly recommend it.

It's not the cheapest thing in the roll, but it is a really great experience, so get them a voucher I'll have a link down in the description. What other great gifts for people who are going to London have you thought of; let me know down in the comment? I always need new ideas on what to suggest and then next up watch my gift cards for people who are going on a Europe tour.

Tips for traveling to London

Buy the Oyster Card for the metropolitan transport of London: it is a pre-paid card that is used for the metro, buses and railways of the city on the best rate.

Book the hotel well in advance: the hotels in London are generally old, bad and expensive. The longer you wait to book, the more likely it is that a badly located or inconvenient hotel will touch you.

Visit the Borough Market on Thursday or Friday. On Saturdays it becomes really unbearable..

Match the trip with the first Thursday of the month: it's Firts Thursday, the night the galleries open exhibitions and open their doors to the public for free.
