How Does Airbnb Work? Airbnb 101 Guide tourismus

Have you heard about booking travel accommodation through Airbnb, but not quite sure what it is? I'm going to tell you all about it! Also make sure you watch the end of the video because I have a special discount off your first booking! So what is Airbnb? It's a website where travellers can book beds, rooms or full apartments in homes all around the world, each listing on the website is posted by a host that's offering up their place for you to stay in. The idea is that travelers get to stay in local homes for more local experience and the hosts get to share their home with like minded people while also making money. So how is staying at an Airbnb different from staying in a hotel or a hostel? Well Airbnb really harps on the fact that you get a more local experience You might find a place that's in an area that really just the locals live in but there aren't any hotels available, you also have option of choosing to just rent a bed or a private room in a home, so you're actually living with your host and oftentimes your hosts will be really welcoming and accommodating and will help you actually live like a local in the place that you're visiting. Also if you choose to rent an entire home or apartment you're going to feel more like you're staying in a home as opposed to just in a hotel room.

How to Have Afternoon Tea in London tourismus

If you're visiting London, I really recommend that you experience one of my favorite British traditions: Afternoon tea! Afternoon tea came about back in 1840 when the Seventh duchess of Bedford would find herself getting hungry around 4:00 p.m., in between her lunch and her dinner. So she started ordering to her room tea, bread, and butter to have to hold her over until dinnertime. Eventually she started inviting friends to experience this with her, and here we are today. It's a full blown tradition, although we don't do it every day like she did, because we would all be fat and broke, so it's a good thing.

How to Find a Job in London tourismus

If you're moving to London soon and you're going to be looking for a job, here are some ways for you to be able to find one in London, this is assuming that you already have the right to work here. So you'll already have either a Visa or Passport that lets you work here. Unfortunately, I can't help with finding a job for you that will sponsor you for work. First before you start your search you're going to want to clean up your CV, make sure that it's updated and also make sure it's formatted to the standard that is common in the UK, just a simple Google search will help you find a template that will show you how to set up your CV that is accepted by employers here.

Differences Between Living in the US vs. the UK tourismus

So I grew up in New York and I went to university down in Virginia [and] there's quite a few differences between living in the u.s. And living in the uk Specifically London first of all the language can be very different [they're] just saying here that were two [nations] divided by a common language which kind of describes How it is so living here for over three [years] now? I've gotten pretty good with knowing all of the language differences, but when I meet people from Northern England [there] are some things that they say I just have no [idea] what they're talking about I'm gonna do a video on language differences. Make sure you subscribe to my channel So you don't miss that probably the most interesting example of what I went through when I first moved here Is that the English call underwear pants? So I kept saying pants when I meant Trousers and people thought I meant underwear and I was talking [about] my underwear and it was a little uncomfortable if you've been to England before You might have noticed that sometimes the English can be so polite That it's like to a fault [I'm] from New York [while] I wouldn't say I'm rude [I] definitely think that quite a few new Yorkers are or at least they're very straightforward The English are often so polite that they don't ask for what they actually want for example when we go to a restaurant Instead of saying that something's gone wrong with their order or with the meal They just won't say anything and as a new yorker who likes [a] [good] service. I'm not like that.

Top Christmas Afternoon Teas in London tourismus

When it gets cold here in London lots of hotels and restaurants put on a festive afternoon tea so if you're visiting in November or December that is definitely a must do when you're here. I'm going to show you a few of my favorite afternoon teas that are festive themed around the city, and if you watch the end of the video you can get a special Christmas freebie from me. This year the Soho hotel that usually does a really nice traditional afternoon tea for the rest of the year have put together a G&Tea; with Monkey 47 gin. Each food item that is part of the G&T; uses one of the 47 flavors that is made up of the handcrafted gin, but it all has a bit of a Christmassy twist.

Tips for traveling to London

Buy the Oyster Card for the metropolitan transport of London: it is a pre-paid card that is used for the metro, buses and railways of the city on the best rate.

Book the hotel well in advance: the hotels in London are generally old, bad and expensive. The longer you wait to book, the more likely it is that a badly located or inconvenient hotel will touch you.

Visit the Borough Market on Thursday or Friday. On Saturdays it becomes really unbearable..

Match the trip with the first Thursday of the month: it's Firts Thursday, the night the galleries open exhibitions and open their doors to the public for free.
